Ethical Investment Opportunities
Investing in the Reserve is available in a number of ways and the directors are always open to new and exciting ideas. The aim in setting up the Brindabella Wildlife and Wilderness Reserve was not based on making money for a living or for making large profits. It is based on the need to conserve and care for the rapidly diminishing stocks of genuine wilderness that are left in Australia and in getting people to understand wilderness. However the directors believe that, like other diminishing resources, their value rises with their scarcity and if, in years to come, the business of introducing and educating people to the value of wilderness becomes profitable then so be it.
Initially, two small holdings at the front of the Reserve will be for sale as freehold title. Both blocks will feature small mountain retreat cabins with landscaping including small dams and some plantings. Both blocks have their own access.
Following this, the directors are looking to open the middle property for investors on a partnership basis with the focus being an architecturally significant building on the top of Space Mountain. This building will be available for use by the shareholders but is also seen as a conferencing venue.
The back block will be opened up to people who are interested in investing in an endangered species arboretum and wilderness walk venture. This may take the form of a company title structure with a small number of shareholders. The company title would allow investors to have their own private space on the block but be able to participate in the group goals using the tax effective and business oriented structure of a company.
